How long after the test do results come out?

TOPIK IBT results come out 20 days after each 2027 internet test, and paper-test (PBT) results take 25 to 53 days, by our count from the last test day of each sitting in the Ministry of Education’s plan.

The wait is set per sitting in the plan rather than by a fixed rule, and the TOPIK site states no rule for it. The October paper test has the longest wait of 2027, because its result date falls in December. The internet tests return results fastest, which matters when a university or visa deadline is close; the other differences between the two formats are on the IBT vs PBT page.

Where to check a result, and how long it lasts

TOPIK results are published on topik.go.kr at the time its schedule page gives, usually 15:00 Korea time on the result date, and candidates outside Korea check on the same site.

A TOPIK score is valid for two years from the result date, not from the test date, under NIIED’s operating rules. The score certificate is issued through the TOPIK website and is not sent by post, fax or e-mail. Outside Korea, the local test institution may receive one printed copy per candidate to hand out.

The result date of each sitting is on topik.go.kr’s schedule page, which NIIED updates first; a date copied here could go stale when the plan changes.

The Ministry’s release gives a result date for each sitting but not the hour, and the 2027 statutory notice had not been published on 31 October 2026. Results are on topik.go.kr for every candidate; only a printed certificate may be handed out through the local institution.
